Joseph Gaydos, VDM, Ph.D., is the Chief Scientist and Regional Director for the SeaDoc Society, a program in the Wildlife Health Center, School of Veterinary Medicine, The University of California, Davis.
He also is a Wildlife Veterinarian and studies disease and population health in marine wildlife. For the last decade his work has focused on improving the health of fish and wildlife populations in the Salish Sea.
He is Chair of the Puget Sound Partnership’s Science Panel and a Governor-appointed member of the Northwest Straits Commission. He lives on Orcas Island with his family.
